Electronic instrument for environment monitoring during plants growing
Žák, Jaromír ; Kuchta, Radek (referee) ; Hubálek, Jaromír (advisor)
The main goal of this project is to make electronic instrument for monitoring environment during plants growing for Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry in Brno. The new device will replace current analog recorder of temperature and humidity. New device will be extended by measuring atmospheric pressure, illumination and CO2 concentration. Main advantage of electronic measuring is better lucidity of gained values. New concept allows easier comparison new values with earlier measured data.
Study on the Effect of Biochar Application on Organic Matter in Soil
Kurková, Marie ; Sovová, Šárka (referee) ; Kalina, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis studies the effect of the application of biochar on the composition of organic matter of two different soil samples. Specifically, the total content of organic matter in the soil and the ratio of humic and fulvic acids in these soils before and after the application of biochar were monitored. The composition of the soil mass was also observed thermogravimetrically and by using the certified method of humic and fulvic acids isolation from samples of studied soils. Furthermore, the effect of biochar on the growth of a model plant (maize – Zea mays) was observed. From this point of view, differences in plant growth were possible to observe from the beginning of the experiment, both in comparison with samples with and without biochar and in comparison with samples containing different doses of biochar. The type of soil used for cultivation experiments also influenced on plant growth.
Design of a robotic cell for a growth chamber in a container
Dobrovolná, Lucie ; Knoflíček, Radek (referee) ; Kočiš, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of a robotic system for a growth chamber installed in a shipping container. The thesis is divided into several parts, first dealing with the research, followed by the system analysis, from which the important variables for the second part of the thesis are obtained. In the second part, the conceptual options are discussed and then the most suitable one is selected by means of a multicriteria analysis. The third part deals with the design and its calculations, followed by risk analysis, economic evaluation, and discussion.

"Studium světelných zdrojů pro in vitro kultivaci podnože ""Gisela 5"""
Svoboda, Michael
Final thesis was worked out on theme Study of light sources for in vitro cultivation of the rootstock Gisela 5. Experiment was conducted alternately on Mendeleum Institute of Genetics and Plant breeding, Faculty of Horticulture in Lednice and on Fosfa a.s. company in Břeclav. The aim of this thesis was to expand knowledge about light sources and their influence on in vitro plant cultivation. Based on this information and knowledge, an experiment was then made to investigate the impact of three different LED light sources on in vitro cultivation of the rootstock Gisela 5 in the phase of multiplication and rooting.
